FLUFFEN TRAITS + INFORMATION

OK so I finally found a little bit of time to refine fluffens, and their information (mostly just to keep me within the rules of my own species. Please know that I never had any guidelines or really specifications for designing fluffens in the past, if any of you have questions or not sure where your fluffen falls, feel free to ask me or send me a note)

Where do fluffens live?

On the island of Cerulian, which is separated into 3 regions, the city which is located on the coast, the country/outskirts, and the “badlands” and mountains. The city is generally exclusive to fluffens only, but there are some other species who live there on special terms. Country is open to all species, and is a mix. Badlands are where the pluffens live, and mountains remain sacred to Mawns.

What is a fluffen?

A fluffen is a semi-magical creature, descended from ethereal beings. They are related to Mawns who live in the mountains, and Pluffens who live in the harsher environments of the island, Cerulean. They are distinct from their cousins with their more human like appearance, petite size, and food themes.

Are there any particular differences between the fluffens? What makes them different?

There are four different crests within the fluffen city (currently unnamed..), based on drink based fluffens, dessert based fluffens, food/meal based fluffens, and condiment and “etc” based fluffens. There is no stigma between any of the crests (except for the occasional family feud), they are more of a way to differentiate the abilities and types of fluffens.

There are also Royal fluffens, which are either based on a highly elegant food, or the higher ups who are based on multiple course meals. Royal fluffens generally have more rare traits than other fluffens and also hold more influence over over the crests. Royal fluffens based on one food will only have influence over a particular crest and belong to that crest, while multiple courses belong to their own crest entirely.

What does each crest mean?

Depending on their crest, and food, a fluffen may inherit certain abilities and aptitude for skills.

Potus - Drink fluffens are more inclined with mana control, and are claimed to be sharper than other crests. Many drink fluffens are often more involved with learning magic and developing spells and potions.

Bellaria - Dessert/fruit fluffens have been known to be more dexterous and charming, especially good with crafting of all different sorts.

Victus - Meal/food based fluffens are more equally distributed with their abilities, so while they are not specialized in anything at first, they may choose to build one skill above others (however may not always be as adept as one who is naturally inclined). Many also have higher endurance than other crests.

Condire - Condiment/etc fluffens are extremely nimble and quick on their feet, and always seem to have luck on their side.

Of course, there are anomalies in every crest, but they are not very common.

Can you tell a fluffens crest by looking at them?

Some fluffens wear their crest on their clothing, accessories (necklaces, rings), or some even have them tattooed on their body. Not all fluffens choose to wear their crest, but all fluffens own a pin representing their crest.
